What is SAAS 2.0?

I often discuss the Vision of Event Hub to be like “Cloud version 2.0”. I was sent the article below recently which describes this proposition very well.

SAAS 2.0 is the development of cloud software from tools like salesforce.com or large CRMs – also known as Horizontal software. to Vertical software. “Horizontal” Software tries to be the standard platform across industries. Vertical software specializes in industries. By specializing in an industry you can focus on features that are needed to do a better job for that industry and the tasks and processes needed to be successful in your industry.

Event Hub is a modern, cloud based web application that connects multiple related services along an “event chain”. It is technically termed as “Mission Critical, vertical SAAS software.”
Our applicaton supports three primary stakeholders. Venues, Teams and Corporates.
Our software can be used by any three stakeholders along an “event chain" independently and separately by each, or often effectivley by sharing data process.
Built by a small, highly skilled and dedicated team, we leverage cloud based software for a market that has historically developed inefficient, slow, costly and perhaps frustrating processes.
Our product places the customer at the centre of the “event chain” rather than operational tasks like ticketing or catering. The modules are modelled as “services'' that support customer outcomes rather than the primary outputs themselves.
Many in the industry refer to this as optimising the “Customer Journey.”
‍“If you are not in control of each service component of that journey, how can you measure or improve them?”
Our product is“sophisticated and is different from the incumbent software available in the market.
We enthusiastically build “no-code” webhooks and API’s for integrations. All of our API’s are made public via POSTMAN.
If you are looking to integrate older style legacy software - we may not be the right application and team for you.

We don't spend much time or money on sales & marketing, we let our product and customers speak for itself. We don't expect long term contracts (unless you need them), we are happy to be compared to any competitor's product and there will never be any attempt to “LOCK-IN”. We would argue LOCK-IN, common with many software companies, is not modern or ethical.

Event Hub's pricing model is simple, transparent and value-based.

We don't expect contracts unless you require them for peace of mind. We don't believe 'locking in' clients is ethical behaviour.

Many companies invest in many different components along the ‘event chain’. Where companies use more of Event Hub’s components, we share back the resulting overhead gains.
